Painting on Fabric – Flower & Snowman

Choose one of the above designs for your workshop.  Learn how to mix paints, basic techniques for painting on fabric, and free-motion. We will be mounting quilts onto painter’s canvas for easy wall hanging.

Cost per student including kit: $25.00 (minimum 3 students)

Student kit includes:

• Painters canvas (12” x 4”)
• Fabric (13” x 5”)
• Decor Bond Fusible (13″ x 5″)
• Batting (13” x 5”)
• Paint brushes – 8 and 10 flat and a round
• Paint
• Fabric Medium
• Cup filled with water to clean your brushes
• Pallet to mix Paints
• Full set of instructions and template

Pam will bring to share:

• School glue
• Tooth picks
• Twigs
• Button thread
• Paper towels
• Iron
• Iron pads
• Hair dryer

Required supplies for students to bring:

• X-acto knife with new, sharp blade
• Fabric marking Pen (I like Frixion)
• Small/sharp scissors to cut appliqué pieces
• Pencil
• Note Pad
• Fine tip Sharpie
• Freezer Paper
• Hand Sewing needle
• Sewing Machine (in good working order)
• Sewing Machine needles (size: 70 & 80)
• Thread:
  • Blue 60 weight
  • Black 30 weight
• Cutting Mat
• Quilting Ruler
• Rotary Cutter (new blade)
